The BISC Newsletter 25th June 2025

Thank You!

As the academic year comes to an end, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the whole community: students, parents and staff, for the estimable support and dedication throughout the year. This was a year filled with challenges, resilience and successes, and we could not have done it barring hand in hand.

Administrative staff will be on duty covering most of July. If you require a document from school for a visa, enrollment, transcript, etc., please give at least 5 working days for it to be issued, signed and stamped.

Thank you once again for being part of our community. We wish you all a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to seeing you again in August.

Senior School News

As the academic year draws to a close, we reflect on a truly remarkable period for the BISC family. We have continued to grow together, embracing changes and celebrating successes that truly embody our spirit. This year, we have demonstrated our commitment to excellence by expanding our curriculum to include A-Levels, an exciting development as we prepare to welcome BISC's momentous 50th year!

Our students have shone brightly on so many fronts. From a myriad of international and local trips that broadened horizons, to our Year 13 graduates gaining acceptance into some of the world's best universities, their achievements are a testament to their dedication and our outstanding educational environment. We celebrated sporting excellence and secured awards at INJAZ, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit. Our students also excelled in MUN, showcasing their leadership and global awareness. We were incredibly honoured to welcome high-profile leaders, including Mr Ban Ki-moon, to our graduation and other events throughout the year, enriching our students' perspectives. Our recent IB 5-year review yielded a glowing report, affirming the strength of our programmes. Furthermore, our fantastic musical production captivated audiences, and our students were truly outstanding at the BISC BSME event, demonstrating the incredible capabilities of BISC on a wider stage.

Being part of BISC is a privilege, and our students are not just classmates; they are a family that will continue to grow together and achieve success in all their future endeavours.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our parents for their unwavering support and partnership throughout the year. To our incredible students, thank you for your relentless effort, enthusiasm and for making BISC such a vibrant place to learn. And to our dedicated BISC teachers and wider staff, your commitment to ensuring our students are safe, happy and thriving at school is truly invaluable. Thank you all for an unforgettable year.

Junior School News

As we come to the close of another successful academic year, we would like to extend our thanks to all members of our Junior School community for the continued support, hard work and partnership.

To our pupils, well done for your efforts, resilience and achievements throughout the year. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, sports field or in the wider community, you have shown dedication, kindness and a true love of learning. We are incredibly proud of the progress you have made.

We would like to congratulate those pupils who won the Chairman’s Award. The Chairman’s Award is the highest accolade presented at the Junior School. It recognises a select group of pupils who have demonstrated excellence and exceptional character throughout the academic year.

To be considered for this award, pupils must meet the following criteria:

  • Outstanding Behaviour: Consistently demonstrates respect, integrity and kindness, setting an example for others.
  • High Academic Achievement: Achieves excellence across all academic subjects, including Arabic (for both Native and Non-Native speakers).
  • Excellence in the Arts or Sports: Shows strong talent, dedication and passion in either the arts or sports.

This year, we are delighted to announce that the number of recipients has increased, reflecting the growing number of pupils achieving outstanding results across the school. Furthermore, in recognition of their achievements, each recipient will receive a trophy and certificate, as well as the privilege of attending a summer camp in Switzerland - a unique opportunity to further develop their confidence, independence and global awareness.

As you enjoy your holiday, please remember to stay safe over the summer and take care of yourselves and one another. Wherever you go, and whatever you do, remember that you are representing BISC at all times; let your actions reflect the values and pride of our school community. We look forward to the next year ahead, which will continue to be academically challenging, fun-packed and with many special activities; year group activities, events and trips to enjoy throughout. It promises to be a year filled with growth, excitement, and memorable experiences.

Wishing you all a joyful, safe, and refreshing summer. We cannot wait to welcome you back for another fantastic year at BISC.
