Year 8 Options Presentation

As Year 8 students approach an important stage in their academic journey, they will have the opportunity to select two subjects from Drama, Computer Science, Art and Music, to study in greater depth in Year 9. This decision will help lay the foundation for future GCSE choices.

To support students in making an informed decision, we hosted a Subject Information Session on Tuesday 11th March, where subject leaders provided insights into each discipline.

If you were unable to attend the event, you can find the presentation here.

Thank you for your engagement in discussing these choices with your child to ensure they select subjects that align with their interests and future aspirations.

Class 2L Assembly

Our Year 2L assembly was a celebration of storytelling; featuring some of the most iconic tales that sparked the imagination of young minds. The pupils brought to life the story of The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, exploring themes of overcoming fears and finding courage in unexpected places. They also shared the hilarious antics from George's Marvellous Medicine, highlighting George's adventurous spirit as he created his own magical potion. The assembly would not have been complete without the mischievous duo from The Twits, with the children bringing their mischievous pranks to the stage in a fun and engaging way. Through these beloved stories, the students not only entertained but also explored important lessons about bravery, creativity and the value of storytelling.

Foundation Stage One

The Foundation Stage 1 theme for this half term is transport, and this week was all about transport with wheels. The children were invited to bring their scooters, bicycles and EVs to school, and this turned out to be an amazing success. Not only did they enjoy playing on them and racing them around the track, but they surprised all their teachers when they willingly shared them and allowed their friends to try out their vehicles. It was such a delight to witness their generosity that it has been decided to allow the children to bring their bikes etc. next week as well. Sharing and turn-taking is a fundamental part of the FS curriculum and it is apparent that the FS children have embraced this.
