Choosing a Secret Student takes into account: attendance, where students are automatically awarded 5 points for being in school each day; punctuality, where students automatically receive 1 point for each lesson they arrive on time to; and behaviour, where students receive 1 point for each positive they are awarded with.
The Secret Student winners this week are:
7LW - Adham EA - 49 Points

9NGA - Sulaima N - 47 Points

Year 12 Arabic History Lecture
Neil Ketchely, Associate Professor at Oxford University, gave our Year 12 students a lecture about a book he is working on. The book is about the 1919 revolution, staged by Egyptians who demanded independence from the British occupation at the time. He showed via field data collected over a year, how Egyptians managed to sustain the protests for nearly 12 months, by creatively using the then new technologies of telegram and railway lines to coordinate their protests.

This week, Foundation Stage 1 children were introduced to the story 'The Gingerbread Man', which will form the basis for the annual Foundation Stage 1 production. We have just finished casting for this and will begin rehearsals next week. We think you will be really impressed when you come to watch the finished production on Wednesday 5th June.
Foundation Stage 1 pupils also enjoyed their weekly Music class with Ms Bievz, who was teaching them the basics of percussion.

Foundation Stage 2 children have started learning about ‘Growth’. They discussed the human lifecycle and changes that will occur as they grow up.
We planted beans and the children enjoyed roleplay opportunities in the Garden Centre.
Keeping our students safe online is a priority at BISC. We are happy to share advice from the National Online Safety, to enable parents to understand the pros and cons of various social media, games and digital trends.
This week, we are sharing advice about managing screen time.
